I’m a little behind on blogposts, I have about five finished projects waiting to be written about, so I’m going to try to catch up! Let’s start with this extremely cute and extremely fluffy little lamb.
Lambert the Lamb is another one of Stephanie Lau’s (All About Ami) Chinese New Year creations. Every year she and her husband design a new pattern for Chinese New Year, this one is from 2015, the year of the sheep. I have previously made two little dragons with her dragon pattern from 2012. Check them out here and here.
Isn’t he adorable?? This was my first time working with fluffy yarn and I have to say, it was not easy. It’s very hard to see your stitches, so it’s difficult to count them, I had to go back several times because I noticed I had skipped a stitch. In the end, he turned out great, despite the many mess-ups that I didn’t even correct!
I also gave Lambert some sweet, little, red cheeks.
Now, enjoy this picture I took a few days ago of Lambert with a little friend 😉
There is one more thing I would like to say about this little lamb that I felt I could not leave unmentioned. Lambert is also the face of the Lambert Collection. The Lambert Collection was started by Stephanie from All About Ami and is a collection of cute accessories such as tote bags, mugs, pillow covers and shirts that feature two different designs with Lambert in it. The passage below comes from the description of one of the products on their online shop.
This design is a collaboration between Stephanie of “All About Ami” and Laura of “Art + Soul Creative Co.”. Stephanie loves designing and crocheting cute stuffed animals called “amigurumi” and sharing her free patterns with crafters all over the world through her blog. Stephanie designed and crocheted Lambert the lamb for Chinese New Year and wanted to create some fun and unique illustrations featuring him! Laura, a talented artist with a unique and whimsical style, helped bring Stephanie’s vision to life!
The best part is that 100% of the profit goes to charity! If you want to know more about this, check out Stephanie’s post right here.
I hope you liked this post, see you soon!
